It is time to take the information you have learned on your travels and write your final research report on your country. Please follow the steps below in order to make sure you have all of the information needed to write the report. You will need to click on the Hotlist Countries link to help you find the information. You can also refer to Tracks 1 and 2 for additional information.

Step 1: Click on the link for your country. Read through the information about the land of the country. You will need to list at least eight facts about the land of your country. You must include: location, area, land features, temperature and climate. Record these eight facts on a sheet of paper, label the page "land" and place it in your folder.

Step 2: Continue exploring the links on your country. Read through the information about "People." Find a minimum of eight facts related to the people of this country. Include population, languages, religion, education, where people came from, and if there are any significant people from the area. Label this page "people" and place it in your folder.

Step 3: Read through the information related to the economy of the country. Include a minimum of eight facts. You must include information about what the economy is based on, specific imports/exports, and trading partners. Label this paper "economy" and place it in your folder.

Step 4: Continue exploring information about your country. Read the section on the government. Include a minimum of eight facts about the country's government. It must have the type of government, when their constitution was created, any branches in their government, and who is president of that country. Label this paper "government" and place it in your folder.

Step 5: Read the section about the history of your country. Record a minumum of eight facts related to the history. This could be anything that you find fascinating and that a reader of your report would enjoy learning. Make sure you keep the information in chronological order so that it makes sense when you write the report. Label this paper "history" and place it in your folder.

Step 6: Documenting the information is very important. We will work on this as a group to create bibliography pages for your report.

Step 7: You will now begin working on the outline for your report. You will be given a form to use to help you organize your information. You will need to choose the most important information from each section to include on this outline. Remember to keep the information in order to help your report flow. The information you include on your outline does not have to be in complete sentences, however, you need to put it in your own words and make sure there is enough for you to understand what it is talking about. I have included a link for you to use to help with organizing your information. It is called "research organizer." You may access this if you wish. This step must be completed before you can go on to the next step. Please have your outline checked for accuracy before going on to the next step.

Step 8: You will now begin writing the rough draft of your report. Use the information from your outline to create your first draft. Remember that the information from your outline needs to be put into complete sentences in your draft.

Step 9: You will meet with a peer editor and together you will edit and make changes to your report. Once this has been done you will need to write your final draft and turn it in for a final draft conference. I will meet with each of you to go over your report and decide if any changes are necessary before you can go on to the final step.

Step 10: TIME TO PUBLISH YOUR REPORT!
YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB SO FAR--KEEP IT UP!!!

EXTRA CREDIT: Click on the E-Sheet link. Complete the questions on a separate sheet of paper. Answers must be in complete sentences to earn full credit.
