The Everyday Math for sixth grade curriculum is divided into 10 units of study.
Math in our classroom usually takes place in the morning after snack and recess when the kids are at their best! We do math for at least an hour everyday. During math time the classroom is divided into a variety of groups based on the day's lesson. We use a lot of social interaction to teach during math time to help make a subject that can often seem overwhelming and boring, more fun!
*We are finished with the math curriculum and this week we will be wrapping things up. We will be completing an end of the year progress test as one last bit of info before the end of the year.
