IBn Batuta, an African association in Catalonia has coordinated this activity. Moussa and Amina highly impressed our students of 2nd A BAT with their whitnesses telling them why they had to come to Spain, how they travelled here and what they found among us. Some files were prepared for these activities and students wrote them letters and messages through internet. Mousssa comes from Senegal and during the boat trip he lost one of his friends who died. His intention is to go back to his country with some savings to start a little business. there. When we asked him about the present crisis he said immigrants like him live in permanent crisis. He values the fact that he has met good friends in our country. One of them from the Basq Country took him by car to Madrid to get his papers renewed. Amina comes from Marocco and her life there wasn't as hard and her parents send her money for her and her sister to be able to study. Recently she had problems with her papers and we know she felt quite sad. |
